Founded with a record-setting launch
We opened as a California state-chartered bank on December 23, 1991. Our first public stock offering closed oversubscribed at $20.18 million — believed to be the largest initial bank capitalization in California history.
Branching out into key markets
We grew beyond Southern California, opening full-service business banking branches in the San Francisco Bay Area, the New York Metro area, and Greater Houston, Texas.
